The Street Musician
Some Musicians Play to
thousands
In large Auditoriums.
Other Musicians play to
A hundred or so
In Clubs.
No matter how big or how little
Musicians love to play
For people.
Street Musicians
Are there
In a few places
Over the United States
And I suppose the world.
They too
Love to play for people.
So they find a place on the street
Where people pass by
And they play
For Tips.
The audience that loves their
music
Gives the Street Musicians
Tips.
This is the Ultimate in Music Appreciation
Someone does not have to give tips
They do so because
They love the music
That is being played.
The Street Musicians bring
The music to the people,
And the people love it.
In the old days
Blues Players
Worked the streets
One became very famous.
Blind Lemmon Jefferson
Worked the streets
For many years,
Then he was signed to a
Recording contract
And the world heard
His great music.
He was rich,
With a car and a
Chauffeur
To drive his car.
Today
There are still
Street musicians.
In the West,
They have a circuit.
Street Musicians play
Washington State
And Boulder Colorado
In the summer,
And Arizona
In the winter.
They must head south for
Winter.
In the east
In New York City
There are Street Musicians who
Play the Subways
And Streets.
These musicians do so well
That they have assigned spots to play
To avoid conflicts.
I know of one Street Musician
Who plays the Subways
Who has a Master's degree in Music.
He makes enough money to
Take long vacations
That cost big money.
He earns more
Playing the street
Than he could ever do
Otherwise.
So there are affluent and
Respectable
Musicians playing
The streets.
However,
There are people who just
Make it,
With just enough money
To live
And survive.
But these people are doing
What they love to do most,
Play Music.

Jerry Reed is Recognized as one of the Great Nylon String Guitar Players
Jerry Reed is one of the most imitated Nylon String Guitar Players alive today
The Great Playing of Jerry Reed Introduced Nylon String Guitar to Country Music and to some degree to all Pop Music
In Jerry Reed's Earlier Days He Played a Baldwin Electric Classical Guitar
Jerry Reed Now Plays Hand Made Classical Guitars
The Music Art Comes from the Guitar Player
The Guitar Merely produces the sound
Therefore Jerry Reed Sounded Incredibly good on the Factory Made Baldwin Electric Classical Guitar when he played it in the 60s
When buying a Hand Made Classical Guitar you might keep in mind that the sound, the tonal quality of the Guitar, how good the music sounds, will depend on you and not on the Guitar. Of course a Great Sounding Guitar can be inspirational to a player. And of Course a Hand Made Guitar is sometimes a Great Work of Musical Instruments Art. Some buyers of Hand Made Guitars consider the Guitar they are buying as a Piece of High Fine Art.
Jerry Reed is a Great Original
Who Will Never Be Truly Duplicated
Needless to say, Jerry Reed is one of My Greatest Guitar Heroes
Robert Lee Johnson, the Author of this Web Page, Is a Country and Blues Guitarists.

What Qualities does a Great Hand Crafter of Guitars Possess
Many Jerry Reed Albums listed at the end of the article.
Jerry Reed said in an interview that he made recordings right away, when he moved to Nashville, but his early Records did not sell. Then Chet Atkins, Guitarist and Producer signed him with RCA Records out of Nashville, spotlighted Jerry Reed's original Style, and Jerry Started selling records big time by 1968. As far as stardom goes, Jerry Paid his Dues for 13 years before he made it. As far as making money as a Guitar player in Nashville, Jerry was making big time money as a studio Guitarists long before he made it as a Singing Star. However, Jerry Paid his dues as a Studio Guitarists also. No one comes to Nashville and Makes it big time right away, absolutely no one, no matter how talented they might be.
